New person to person class: Tunnel 29

Tunnel 29 is the riveting story of the dangerous escape of 29 East Germans through a tunnel that was dug under the Iron Curtain in the middle of Berlin by tunneling under the infamous Berlin Wall. The class is offered by Erhard Gross who himself escaped from behind the Iron Curtain and is well acquainted with the circumstances and the area where the coup was pulled off.

The class meets from 10:00 to 12:00 every Friday starting April 15, 22, 29. May 6, 13 and 20 at the Astoria Senior Center. (Persons may wish to order the book or kindle edition. It’s available from Amazon and other book sellers.)
